Hereafter I will not talk much with you: for the prince of this world cometh, and hath nothing in me.
The devil is a personality without body who like working through objects. He does this with the aim of destroying what God has made.
He is a thief and accuser of the brethren.
The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
Before the devil can take hold on you, then you are empty (absence of God’s Spirit and God’s word) or you are having his trait in you.
He put sin as a seed in man that sin will take man captive and become his.
But as Jesus saw him, then He said “nothing of him is with me”
Beloved are you having God’s Spirit or His word in you or you are empty?
There are many things that belongs to him that many people love, so he takes hold on them and they become his.
The pride of life, love of the things of this world and the lust of eye are all of him. This is because, he is the prince of this world.
1 John 2:15-16
Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.
As a man loves this world, he uses his part of body as an instrument for the devil, for the enemy will give you an assignment to perform.
All those who do not retain God’s word in them are misled by the enemy “for the lack of knowledge my people perish”
And the Lord God always give them to their own lust (Romans 1:21-30)
Peter was being caught by the enemy (Satan) but Jesus Christ saw it and prayed for him
And the Lord said, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat:
But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren.
The enemy always want to take hold on people and make them loose the faith, they have in God, the love they have for the Lord and all the good things they do for the Lord.
The enemy always desire to have us but yours is to becareful, be prayerful that he will not take hold on you.
He uses people who speak lies, people who are murderers and all those who have his properties in them and he is the father of them all.
Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.
How you dress, how you talk a d they way you think, make sure you will not include his possession else he will posses you.
See what happened to Judas Iscariot.
A man who was coveteuouse, that is why the enemy used him to betray Jesus Christ.
He was different among them all and it never showed up for he kept it to the day the enemy needed him the betray Jesus Christ.
Jesus saw it and commanded the enemy to do what he has to do. Why didn’t he use Peter, James, Philip or any other disciple but Judas?
Because Judas was for him the devil.
Jesus answered them, Have not I chosen you twelve, and one of you is a devil?
He spake of Judas Iscariot the son of Simon: for he it was that should betray him, being one of the twelve.
Never give yourself to the world.
And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
Walk in the Spirit and do not gratify the things of this world.
We a chosen generation who are to worship God in Spirit and truth.
Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?
But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you.
Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness.
I speak after the manner of men because of the infirmity of your flesh: for as ye have yielded your members servants to uncleanness and to iniquity unto iniquity; even so now yield your members servants to righteousness unto holiness.
For when ye were the servants of sin, ye were free from righteousness.
What fruit had ye then in those things whereof ye are now ashamed? for the end of those things is death.
But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life.
