Home every Christian passes through fire EVERY CHRISTIAN PASSES THROUGH FIRE

Every one who is Christ’s suffers persecution.
Meaning of persecution from Easton’s Bible Dictionary.

Persecution – (Easton’s Bible Dictionary)

The first great persecution for religious opinion of which we have any record was that which broke out against the worshippers of God among the Jews in the days of Ahab, when that king, at the instigation of his wife Jezebel, “a woman in whom, with the reckless and licentious habits of an Oriental queen, were united the fiercest and sternest qualities inherent in the old Semitic race”, sought in the most relentless manner to extirpate the worship of Jehovah and substitute in its place the worship of Ashtoreth and Baal. Ahab’s example in this respect was followed by Manasseh, who “shed innocent blood very much, till he had filled Jerusalem from one end to another” (2 Kings 21:16; comp. 24:4). In all ages, in one form or another, the people of God have had to suffer persecution. In its earliest history the Christian church passed through many bloody persecutions. Of subsequent centuries in our own and in other lands the same sad record may be made.

Christians are forbidden to seek the propagation of the gospel by force (Matt. 7:1; Luke 9:54-56; Rom. 14:4; James 4:11, 12). The words of Ps. 7:13, “He ordaineth his arrows against the persecutors,” ought rather to be, as in the Revised Version, “He maketh his arrows fiery [shafts].”

Persecution – (Webster’s 1828 Dictionary)

PERSECU’TION, n. The act or practice of persecuting; the infliction of pain, punishment or death upon others unjustly, particularly for adhering to a religious creed or mode of worship, either by way of penalty or for compelling them to renounce their principles. Historians enumerate ten persecutions suffered by the Christians, beginning with that of Nero, A.D. 31, and ending with that of Diocletian, A.D. 303 to 313.

1. The state of being persecuted.

Our necks are under persecution; we labor and have no rest. Lam 5.
2 Timothy 3:12
[12]Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.
The world is against we that have Christ and are His, this is all because they were against Christ also.
Christ being our master, preach the truth and reveal all the mysteries to fulfill the promises of God and the prophecies that the Prophets gave. But they were all against Him because preaching Christ to them is a stumbling block.
For the things of God are not understood with fleshy mind but with Spiritual understanding and walking with Christ, you carry your cross, so as they did unto Him for the gospel sake so they will do unto everyone who lives godly.
Besides the enemy “satan” the father of the enemies of God is against Christ and His followers (Christians).
Revelation 12:17
[17]And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.
The devil is a personality without body who works through objects. He uses human beings who have not Christ in them and their ways are controlled by the enemy.
They cause evil continually to destroy the works of God and all who have the testimony of Jesus Christ.
The people whom the enemy uses can be your own friends, relatives, and all people who have him in them.
John 8:44-47
[44]Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.
[45]And because I tell you the truth, ye believe me not.
[46]Which of you convinceth me of sin? And if I say the truth, why do ye not believe me?
[47]He that is of God heareth God’s words: ye therefore hear them not, because ye are not of God.
They rejects the word of God and plot against the people of God without resting till they accomplish the evil schemes.
These people whom the enemy uses are not only people who are into witchcraft but those who are empowered by the flesh, having the character traits of the enemy and his personality in them are those who are against the work of God.
Galatians 5:19-21
Some are also empowered by the demonic Spirit who have assignment to perform given to them by their father knowingly.
Proverbs 4:16-17,19
[16]For they sleep not, except they have done mischief; and their sleep is taken away, unless they cause some to fall.
[17]For they eat the bread of wickedness, and drink the wine of violence.
[19]The way of the wicked is as darkness: they know not at what they stumble.
For the same way they plotted against Jesus, is the same way they plot against the followers of Him.
So if you are a godly person, you pass through persecution.
John 15:20-23
[20]Remember the word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept my saying, they will keep yours also.
[21]But all these things will they do unto you for my name’s sake, because they know not him that sent me.
[22]If I had not come and spoken unto them, they had not had sin: but now they have no cloke for their sin.
[23]He that hateth me hateth my Father also.
Beloved, when you come to Christ Jesus and you are saved, behold you have life into eternity but your body suffers persecution for God’s name sake.
Peter, Paul and all the Apostle who preached the gospel suffered persecution and yet still God was with them.
The persecution here can be called “fire”
Even Jesus Christ our master passed through it, what about us?
They will hate you for God’s sake.
Matthew 10:17-18,22
[17]But beware of men: for they will deliver you up to the councils, and they will scourge you in their synagogues;
[18]And ye shall be brought before governors and kings for my sake, for a testimony against them and the Gentiles.
[22]And ye shall be hated of all men for my name’s sake: but he that endureth to the end shall be saved.
Luke 12:50
[50]But I have a baptism to be baptized with; and how am I straitened till it be accomplished!
Jesus said this because He saw the great agony He was going to pass through. This was about His death, He named the persecution, baptism.
So it means as a Christ there is a baptism of suffering for you as you live your life like Christ Jesus.
Even those who were in the era of the prophets all suffered persecution.
Daniel suffered persecution, Jeremiah suffered persecution, Meshach, Shadrach and Abednego suffered persecution for God’s sake.
For a Christian who speaks the truth becomes an enemy to the world , for they hate the truth but rather rejoice in iniquity and all falsehood.
Before a gold can be  turned into other goods such as chains, watch and all other valuable and precious substances made with gold, it needs to pass through fire.
So every Christian who needs promotion, passes through fire.
As you pass through and continue to be humble unto the Lord in submissive in the service of God , in and out of seasons , the Lord God delivers you out of it and makes you shine.
Persecution can come in every aspect of your life, it can be the financial, marriage, accadamial, business and all what you have even in your Christian Life.
God allow this to test your faith, give you promotion when you become successful a s able to pass through.
Genesis 45:1-9
[1]Then Joseph could not refrain himself before all them that stood by him; and he cried, Cause every man to go out from me. And there stood no man with him, while Joseph made himself known unto his brethren.
[2]And he wept aloud: and the Egyptians and the house of Pharaoh heard.
[3]And Joseph said unto his brethren, I am Joseph; doth my father yet live? And his brethren could not answer him; for they were troubled at his presence.
[4]And Joseph said unto his brethren, Come near to me, I pray you. And they came near. And he said, I am Joseph your brother, whom ye sold into Egypt.
[5]Now therefore be not grieved, nor angry with yourselves, that ye sold me hither: for God did send me before you to preserve life.
[6]For these two years hath the famine been in the land: and yet there are five years, in the which there shall neither be earing nor harvest.
[7]And God sent me before you to preserve you a posterity in the earth, and to save your lives by a great deliverance.
[8]So now it was not you that sent me hither, but God: and he hath made me a father to Pharaoh, and lord of all his house, and a ruler throughout all the land of Egypt.
[9]Haste ye, and go up to my father, and say unto him, Thus saith thy son Joseph, God hath made me lord of all Egypt: come down unto me, tarry not:
Job passed through persecution and he did not reject the Lord. At the long run, they Lord promoted him and have him double in what he was having initially.
Job 42:12-13,16-17
[12]So the LORD blessed the latter end of Job more than his beginning: for he had fourteen thousand sheep, and six thousand camels, and a thousand yoke of oxen, and a thousand she asses.
[13]He had also seven sons and three daughters.
[16]After this lived Job an hundred and forty years, and saw his sons, and his sons’ sons, even four generations.
[17]So Job died, being old and full of days.
Daniel was persecuted and at the long run, the Lord delivered him and made him great and caused his situation to make Him known in the land of His enemies.
Daniel 6:8-9,24-28
[8]Now, O king, establish the decree, and sign the writing, that it be not changed, according to the law of the Medes and Persians, which altereth not.
[9]Wherefore king Darius signed the writing and the decree.
[24]And the king commanded, and they brought those men which had accused Daniel, and they cast them into the den of lions, them, their children, and their wives; and the lions had the mastery of them, and brake all their bones in pieces or ever they came at the bottom of the den.
[25]Then king Darius wrote unto all people, nations, and languages, that dwell in all the earth; Peace be multiplied unto you.
[26]I make a decree, That in every dominion of my kingdom men tremble and fear before the God of Daniel: for he is the living God, and stedfast for ever, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed, and his dominion shall be even unto the end.
[27]He delivereth and rescueth, and he worketh signs and wonders in heaven and in earth, who hath delivered Daniel from the power of the lions.
[28]So this Daniel prospered in the reign of Darius, and in the reign of Cyrus the Persian.
Daniel 3:24-30
[24]Then Nebuchadnezzar the king was astonied, and rose up in haste, and spake, and said unto his counsellors, Did not we cast three men bound into the midst of the fire? They answered and said unto the king, True, O king.
[25]He answered and said, Lo, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no hurt; and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God.
[26]Then Nebuchadnezzar came near to the mouth of the burning fiery furnace, and spake, and said, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, ye servants of the most high God, come forth, and come hither. Then Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, came forth of the midst of the fire.
[27]And the princes, governors, and captains, and the king’s counsellors, being gathered together, saw these men, upon whose bodies the fire had no power, nor was an hair of their head singed, neither were their coats changed, nor the smell of fire had passed on them.
[28]Then Nebuchadnezzar spake, and said, Blessed be the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, who hath sent his angel, and delivered his servants that trusted in him, and have changed the king’s word, and yielded their bodies, that they might not serve nor worship any god, except their own God.
[29]Therefore I make a decree, That every people, nation, and language, which speak any thing amiss against the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, shall be cut in pieces, and their houses shall be made a dunghill: because there is no other God that can deliver after this sort.
[30]Then the king promoted Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, in the province of Babylon.
God promoted Jesus Christ. The founder of Christianity who layed down His life for the gospel sake and now is sitting at the right hand of God and God has given the name which above every other name.
Hebrews 10:12-14
[12]But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God;
[13]From henceforth expecting till his enemies be made his footstool.
[14]For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified.
Beloved, those who love God and live a godly will pass through persecution.
Matthew 5:11-12
[11]Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.
[12]Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.
Do not grow weary, be not ashamed of the gospel but fight a good fight and the Lord will reward you in all what you are passing through . Victory and success are those who belongs to Christ Jesus.
